Jamey Morse, a graduate of McMaster University with an Economics degree, has enjoyed a career in the investment and financial services industry since 1997. He holds the Certified Financial Planners designation, a standard of excellence recognized in the financial planning profession. As well, he is a licensed mortgage broker and insurance agent and feels that all of this combined, gives him the tools to provide clients with comprehensive financial plans.
He started his career at an investment dealer in Toronto and transitioned to the banking environment where he became a Financial Planner with RBC and CIBC Imperial Service. After spending 7 years in the banking industry, Jamey left to work as an independent financial planner and founded Watermark Financial Group.
Watermark Mortgage Group is a mortgage brokerage that Jamey owns and operates that is dedicated to not only helping client’s get into their dream home, but also to assist them in effectively managing their debt . By having this experience and knowledge, Jamey feels this only helps to better serve his clients, as planning to be mortgage free is just as important as saving for the future.
Jamey prides himself on being able to assist people with all of their financial needs, including retirement, estate and education planning, investment and debt management, budgeting and insurance. His enjoyment comes from interacting and helping people, as each person has their own story to tell which is unique and interesting.
Jamey calls Uxbridge his home as he lives there with his wife Trish and their two young children, Avery and Joshua. He has traveled extensively throughout the years and has lived in Vancouver and Seoul, South Korea, where he was an English teacher. Jamey enjoys spending time on the golf course and at his cottage on Haliburton Lake. He describes his biggest accomplishment as having found the perfect balance of personal and professional life.
